Recently brought my girlfriend in to have her 4 wisdom teeth removed. First off they decided to give my girlfriend, who just got put under General anesthesia, her care intructions right after her procedure. I specifically stated and was asked if I was her escort and got told that I would receive her care instructions after her procedure. I sat in the waiting room as instructed for an escort only to be called up to the desk and asked to go get my car and pull around because she was done with her procedure. I did and only then did I get asked to sign the legal escort/guardian form still not receiving any care instructions. The next day my girlfriend informs me that she doesn't even remember the most part of after her surgery or the ride home of course because she had just gotten put under anesthesia. She does remember the nurse or whoever was watching her after the procedure giving her care instructions but obviously not anything specific because of the general anesthesia! What kind of professional establishment expects their patients that just woke up from anesthesia to remember their own care instructions especially if they had an escort who was supposed to receive them in the first place. A couple days after her surgery she is experiencing pain in both lower sockets along with nausea from the pain itself being so bad and the prescribed medication wasn't helping. She called in that day and cascade oral surgery responded with completely dismissing her described pain and discomfort in her sockets and prescribing her anti nausea medication.... Not once did they ask her to come in within that week either to have a check up which they also mentioned that they would before her procedure was even done! It was the weekend by the time my girlfriend was in too much pain to handle so we called the on call clinic and she had dressing inserted into her two lower socketswith gel medicine on it to help with pain by numbing and forming a blood clot. During that visit we also were informed from the doctor himself that was helping that she clearly, with no doubt, had dry sockets even when she called in telling cascade about her pain. The monday after that weekend cascade oral surgery finally decided to call my girlfriend to only check up ON HER NAUSEA! Not even one question about her sockets or how she was doing with them and my girlfriend had to, herself, request to be seen by the doctor that did the procedure. We went in today on May 9th and when the doctor came in the first thing he said was "So I heard that you called us about nausea?" and my girlfriend said "yes, but I also talked about my pain in my sockets" and he promptly responded with a rude insinuation that if she had had dry sockets, "the pain would have been a 10 out of 10 worst pain in your life". I am quoting what her doctor said exactly. He also took a look at her sockets and said that they look good and that was that. So along with the receptionist that ignored my girlfriends obvious dry socket symptoms, her doctor ignored it too and even went as far as to tell her that she never did have dry sockets. I apologize for the very long review and if you didn't read the whole thing, long story short, this "professional establishment" does a very poor job, at least in my girlfriends case, of following up with their patients and listening to them without acting like they know everything that is and isn't wrong with them. Please don't waste your time here as I am sure there are far more professional and caring establishments for this type of surgery.
