Customer Reviews about Banfield Pet Hospital

Transferred to this Banfield Pet Hospital from the one Joplin, Missouri, the Banfield in Joplin was absolutely great, but the one here in Spokane wasn't so great. My cat had a splint for 4 weeks back in Joplin, it was changed twice, so every two weeks in Joplin. Then my husband and I moved back to Spokane after his deployment, and my cat still had her splint so we decided to just go back to a Banfield so they still had her records. When we got there they said that they needed to re x-ray her leg(even though that wasn't necessary at all, because we gave them a CD with her x ray from the other Banfield in Joplin)But we paid the 250 to get her leg x-rayed and then we pay the 95 to get a new splint put on,plus the sedation, plus office visit.( remind you we have given the Banfield company over $1000 already for this broken leg)Then the next day the splint that they put on the day before fell off. Which has never happened before with the previous splints from Joplin. They wanted to recharge us for the new splint and a sedation. We refused to pay it because we were there 24 hours ago, and they obviously didn't put the splint on right. But they put a new splint on and we didn't have to pay which was pretty nice of them, but they wrapped the tape/banage around her whole back, across your chest, and down her leg. When we left my cat with shaking and scared and I did not want to return because I know that they had hurt her and scared her. Since this was her last splint that she had to have before she could completely remove it and didnt have to have one anymore, my husband and I just decided to remove the splint ourselves at our home. We notice that they put actual sticky tape on her fur and shaved her entire leg ( which it wasn't shaved before) we notice that there were cuts on her leg from being shaved. We had to take it to the pet ER so they could remove the tape from her fur because if we did it ourselves her fur would be ripped off. All around the top of her leg is rubbed raw from the tape, she has absolutely no fur on her leg and it is all red like you can actually see the skin. Her bone is healed but now the outside of her leg is all torn up. There was absolutely no reason to put tape on her fur coat, and absolutely no reason to wrap the tape around her back and her chest. They hurt my cat, I will never ever return and I will make sure I get the word out about how awful this vet is!!!(i would upload pictures to the comment of how she looks but im not sure how) Careless,money-hungry company!
